Yoga Pop-Up in the Park: Ukraine Crisis Relief
9am on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022
Join us for a yoga pop-up fundraiser at Veteran's Park in Ridley Park, 9am. All donations raised at the pop-up yoga event will be given to Ardour Bakery in support of Ukraine Crisis Relief efforts, led by the bakery owner, Illya Zayarchenko. After our gentle yoga practice in the park, we'll walk two blocks to Ardour Bakery to enjoy delicious bakery goods. We'll also learn how Illya, the bakery owner, will use our donations to purchase much-needed supplies, which Illya will personally distribute in war-torn Ukraine this Fall. Cultivating compassion through the wisdom and practice of yoga
|
On March 30, 2020, Sanctuary Yoga transitioned to an on-line spiritual wellness ministry in support of mind, body and spiritual wellness, especially needed during the pandemic. On Thanksgiving Day, 2021, we celebrated our 200th hour together as an on-line yoga community of practitioners from across the country. Sanctuary Yoga classes are 60 minutes, suitable for beginners, and offered free of charge. Come prepared with a yoga mat and sturdy chair. Other suggested props: blanket, pillow, rolled towel, strap and blocks. On-line classes will open 5 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Mary Thompson, RYT-200, volunteers as the Sanctuary Yoga instructor in the spirit of cultivating compassion through the wisdom and practice of yoga.
