Seaman's Church Institute
The Seamen’s Church Institute of Philadelphia and South Jersey has a mission to serve proactively without prejudice the human needs of seafarers and the maritime community of the Delaware River.
The Seamen's Church Institute reaches out to seafarers from around the world who are docked in Philadelphia and New Jersey. They can help with problems, organize a worship service, take seafarers shopping and to visit historic sites, or bring them to our center for free use of Wifi or pray in our chapel.
Each December Trinity collects items for Ditty Bags to be distributed to the seafarers who visit our ports.
