March 15, 2020: Drive-through Communion
Trinity adjusted to a new way of worship as the Diocese of Pennsylvania shifted to digital worship in response to COVID-19. Fr. Ted, assisted by head verger Rich Englebach, and altar guild co-chair AnnMarie Stanton, conducted an abbreviated Holy Eucharist outside in the circle drive to consecrate elements for communion. Then, from 10am to 11am, drive-through communion was served to drivers, passengers, even a jogger passing by. We were able to share communion this way on just two Sundays in March, creating community in new ways, coming together in love. Unfortunately, this practice was suspended due to subsequent Diocesan guidance. Trinity's efforts were covered locally in the news, for the news article click here.
