Ditty Bag Drive
for the Seamen's Church Institute

Every year Trinity Parishioners donate personal care items to be delivered to the Seamen's Church Institute.  The items are placed in "Ditty Bags" by volunteers at SCI and given to seafarers docked in the Philadelphia area during the month of December.  

The Seamen's Church Institute requests with the following items:
  • HATS AND SCARVES IN DARK COLORS
  • WORK SOCKS, WORK GLOVES
  • MINI SEWING KIT
  • PENS AND WRITING PAPER
  • NAIL CLIPPERS
  • CHAPSTICK
  • RAZORS AND SHAVING CREAM
  • SHAMPOO, COMB
  • TOOTHBRUSH, TOOTHPASTE
  • DEODORANT
  • FULL SIZES, PLEASE, FOR TOILETRIES

During October a box is placed in the back of the Church for Ditty Bag donations.  These contributions are then delivered to the Seamen's Church Institute by the Outreach Committee.

Please consider contributing gifts to seafarers who are far from home during the holiday season!
